My name is Rob Blackburn. I worked on the flight deck aboard USS Wasp LHD-1 which is home ported in Norfolk Virginia.
I have been designing custom coins since May 2006 and have personally been involved with the design and manufacturing of over one thousand coins.
When I originally enlisted in the Navy I wanted to be a Seabee. Well that never happened, in part because I was young and dumb, and didn’t put forth the effort to cross rate. As I said I worked on the flight deck fueling aircraft as an ABF and was later promoted to flight deck control where I directed fueling crews and communicated with the pump room.

I have been fortunate in my coin designing career to be a part of some amazing and functional designs. In 2012 I was lucky enough to design a dog tag shaped bottle opener coin for the Seabee Ball in Yokosuka Japan. Custom Navy Seabee coins have always had a special place in my heart, probably because that’s what I wanted to do.

I have also been blessed when it comes to creating navy ship coins. I have designed coins for submarines USS Missouri, USS Henry M. Jackson and aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln just to name a couple.

You’re probably wondering what the point of all this is. Well I will tell you. Consider this a job interview. I want to be your custom navy coin supplier. I don’t want to come across as arrogant but I can’t think of anyone in this business more capable of making your next coin outstanding than me.
In closing I would like to wish all of you reading this and my fellow Navy Veterans fair winds and following seas. I would also like to say THANK YOU to all who purposely put themselves in harms way defending our Liberty.
